Government Uses Elmo to Sell Vaccines to Minors. AGAIN.
It is unethical to market pharmaceuticals to children.
I am sure you have heard (and seen by now) that Sesame Street is using Elmo to sell the Covid-19 vaccines to children. What you may not know is that the HHS/PBS team up to start this ethical nightmare began in 2015 when Vivek Murthy first pitched shots to tots with Elmo.
In April of that year, The Surgeon General showed up on The Street to talk Elmo, a three year old monster (and puppet) who cannot give informed consent, into consenting to vaccines while sitting in his doctor’s waiting room. Video here:
I wrote about it then, Surgeon General Uses Elmo to Sell Vaccines to Minors, expressing that:
“Children cannot make informed consent decisions, so it is unethical to market pharmaceuticals to children.
But that is what the Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, MD, MBA is doing. And his target audience is three and a half year olds. While not so subtlety taunting those who are resistant to vaccinating.”
He ends the video mocking the vaccine hesitant, and Elmo even sings “The haters gonna hate, shake it off,” while being vaccinated.
Please take a moment to read my commentary, and note that what they did to us back then, they are simply still doing to the whole population now. The lessons were not learned, and the public has doomed themselves by repeating the much smaller scale tragedies of the past.
A sample of memes that were spawned at the time can be found on the post, but here is a small sample of what circulated on social media:
This time, no human shows their face, and the primary pitch man is Elmo’s dad, with Elmo testifying that getting the shot was no big deal. Here we see that Elmo’s dad is an idiot, as he repeats the lie that the vaccine prevents infection and transmission.
It’s almost like he has a head full of stuffing.
The difference this time is that so much of the world is awake and has a huge problem with selling medical products that have adverse outcomes up to and including death, TO CHILDREN. One of the best commentaries on this came from recovering douche, Russell Brand. I am at opposite ends of the political spectrum as Brand, or at least I thought I was, but Sane now a political movement, and Brand is becoming a leader in that movement. He does it with insight, humility, and a great deal of humor.
And his sources are medical professionals, not puppets.
I have come to love the man, I am so happy he got out of his disastrous mindset/lifestyle, and I recommend his video on this. You already know what I think.
You will notice they did not use the character that is affected by Autism. But she and Elmo can attend the same Special Day Class...
I was a big fan of Sesame Street up until they started the propaganda.
