Beautiful. Thank you for bringing her to those of us who didn't know her.

Ginger, That was an amazing journaling of an absolutely lovely soul. It is clear to me that you have inherited your Mom's ways. I am sure she was proud of all you have accomplished and all that you have yet to accomplish. BTW: I am currently doing the podcast "The Bible in a Year" with Father Mike Schmitz, and you have managed to pull out many of his teachings.

Well done Ginger!

Wow....just...wow, crying, but happily for who she is/was.

I think you have all the strenght you need to move on after such a great loss, because while living she ment to you all you needed, and you and your sister ment all for her, that is automatic, you cannot connect really well alone;-)

Your dad derserves a medal too, because he found his soft side, because your mother showed him faith the only way, the right way and your dad accepted, while he had a harsh live (with you and your mam en sister) and probably the 'least-feeling-sharing-job' at our planet: the marine, if I remember right, I cannot look back from here, it could be some other army-like superhardsh emotionally superpoor job...but your dad could receive the everlasting love of (the faith of) your mom and I guess yours too! And maybe your sisters too with or without meeting Jesus, like you did or differently, it doesn't matter I guess reading your story hopefully correctly.

Your beautiful loving story, despite the fact losing your wonderfull, -and in her case this must be an 'understatement'-mother must be such an immense sadly loss to you, the warmth of all her love and yours so dedicately loving writing it all down, is like a sun lightening all, that needs to be lightened.

Thank you so much

Wish you all you need to keep on loving your mother the way you and her, as well as your loving family and friends-family know so well and brings you all, together with your loving faith, together with Jesus

Are we really the number 2 part of Jesus Gospel? Is that how God looks at us with wicked hearts? Doomed from the get go? I do see this exists in someway in some of us.

That is who we are. God says:

Jeremiah 17:9

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can understand it?

Mark 7:21

For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery,

Romans 3:10-18

As it is written: “None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God. All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.” “Their throat is an open grave; they use their tongues to deceive.” “The venom of asps is under their lips.” “Their mouth is full of curses and bitterness.” ...

Psalm 51:5

Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.

Which is what makes the rest of the Gospel so amazing. That he is a Holy and perfect God who LOVES us. That he became a man and suffered so he could win us back. That when we give our lives to him he CHOOSES to see us not as the wicked people that we are, but with the perfection of Christ.

We will not, and cannot, ever earn God's love. Which means that we will not, and cannot, ever lose God's love. God loves us because he is loving, not because we are lovable.
